Suffusion™ Soil and Media Wetting System
  • Wetting Agent
  • Penetrating Agent
  • Rewetting Agent
  • Liquid or Granule
  • Tablet applicator
2
How are dry spots created?
  • Poor irrigation
  • Edge effects
  • Uneven drying due to sun, wind etc
  • Constant drying out
  • Fungal / Microbial activity
  • Natural water repellency
    • Peat (natural lipids & waxes)
    • Bark, loams, coconut fibre and other artificial substrates (microbial & fungal deposits)
  • Other factors

3
Suffusion works
 3 Ways
  • 1. Wetting Agent - Reduces surface water tension
  • 2. Penetrating Agent - Penetrates into the media
  • 3. Re-Wetting Agent - Remains in the media to allow water to re-wet the soil particles

Chemistry
  • Unique chemistry, moving away from ‘NPEs’.
  • Many wetting agents based on
    ‘nonyl phenyl ethoxylates’.
  • Now being replaced with ‘linear chemistry’.
  • Linear chemistry:-
    • safer to the environment.
    • lasts longer.

12
Key Features
  • Excellent Wetting and Drying Properties.
  • Safe to Sensitive Plants.
  • Economical Low Use Rate.
  • Flexible, compatible and Easy to Use.
  • Excellent Shelf Life.

13
Key Features
  • Stable in Growing Media in Storage.
  • Dissolves Readily in Cold Water.
